My first goal of my adult life, since I am a taken woman, is to be engaged. I was never really sure if this would happen before or after I graduated college, but it’s never mattered. I have a feeling, however, that “get him to propose” is correctly placed in the #1 spot on the to-do list…

Josh and I have already said we want to marry each other. He just hasn’t technically proposed. He’s held a “Marry Me” candy heart up to his webcam while we were Skyping one day, but that doesn’t count. Does it?

But I’m about 99% certain he’s going to propose while he’s visiting me here in Dublin next week. These are the clues I’ve collected that led me to this conclusion:

• He showed me a ring he thought was “pretty” on the Friedman’s website a few weeks ago.
• My sister asked me my ring size because she happened to “have some old rings she thought I could wear.”
• Josh said he “had a plan to execute” while he’s here.

It ain’t rocket science, people.
