Before I start talking about the trip, I have to mention that my sister sent me by far the best college care package any student has ever received in the history of mankind. Which is what I told her. I mean, look at all this food!!! It came almost 4000 miles just to end up as my poop!

So, now. The Aran Islands is, simply put, the most beautiful place I’ve ever been in my entire life. I bitched the entire journey there - all four hours on the bus, the hour and a half on the ferry that made me sick, and the brief but subzero walk from the ferry to the hostel. But when they took us on the horse and trap tour the next morning, which is when nearly every single one of these 200+ photos was taken, I fell in love. I thought, hey, I could totally live here. Except I would die without chain restaurants and Wal-mart.

I mean, we stayed in a freezing cold hostel (again), and the school didn’t pay for our drinks, but there was good free food and in the end, being able to see all of this was totally worth it.
